Trump’s 2018 tax cuts for the wealthy are now permanent. It’s unacceptable that the wealthiest people that have ever existed are paying an effective tax rate lower than the average teacher in America. We must repeal this law and pass a tax code that does not have carve outs for billionaires.
Close the Carried Interest loophole, remove the Step Up Basis, and end the usage of offshore tax havens. These are real things we can do to dramatically increase the available funds the government can disperse without raising taxes on working people.
