Protecting the Post Office, Institute Postal Banking
The Post Office has been a vital resource for rural and urban Americans. It is one of the most reliable governmental institutions despite decades of defunding. We must protect this institution from further erosion and against the threat of privatization.
The Post Office providing basic banking needs for Americans would be a much needed lifeline to many people who have been burned by profit hungry banks in the past. I will work to pass the Postal Banking Act when in Congress in order to provide this financial opportunity to all Americans.
